USCIS eliminates requirement for EB5 visa applicants

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced the elimination of the biometric requirement and its corresponding $85 fee for applicants submitting Form I-526E for an immigrant visa as an investor.

These immigrant visas are issued to foreign persons making an investment in the United States under the program known as EB5.

The applicant must demonstrate that he or she has invested sufficient capital in a U.S. business or enterprise, either directly or through a USCIS-approved EB5 regional center, and that the business will create the required number of jobs.
